VS-Taxi holds an agreement with the French health insurance for seated medical transport. We pick you up at home and take you to your appointment, wherever it is — and bring you back.
What it covers
Consultations, examinations, treatment courses, hospital admissions and discharges. The driver is the same one from door to door, which matters when the journey is a long one or repeats week after week.
The service runs from Aigueblanche and Moûtiers across the whole Tarentaise valley, and beyond it when the appointment is elsewhere.
How it works
Medical transport is prescribed by a doctor. With that prescription, an approved taxi bills the covered share directly to the health insurance: you do not pay it up front.
The conditions of cover — what is covered, for whom, and what remains payable — are set by the Assurance Maladie, not by us. Your doctor or your local CPAM office will confirm your own situation.

- Do I have to pay and claim it back?
- Not for the share covered by the health insurance: an approved taxi bills it directly. Anything left over depends on your own situation.
- Can you take a wheelchair or a stretcher?
- A taxi handles seated transport. Lying-down transport is an ambulance matter — call us and we will tell you straight away which one your journey needs.
