Getting to Val d'Isère
The route runs through Bourg-Saint-Maurice and up the Haute-Tarentaise. Val d'Isère sits at the head of the Isère valley, below the Col de l'Iseran — the pass is closed in winter, so access is always from below.
The resort sits at 1850m and belongs to the Tignes – Val d'Isère ski area. The last stretch runs through Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

- Around 1h10. Moûtiers is the closest railway station to the resort and takes the direct trains from Paris and London in season.
